I'm not letting you go out of fear
no even out of anger.
It'd be a horrible cliché
to say I let you go out of love.
But I think I do,
and I know I don't.
I'd let you go before
If I was stronger.
My words don't look further
as I approach them, grow larger.
I am letting you go out of strength
Not mine, by God, that I am feeble
I let you go for your sake
for your happiness
and distress.
I let you go today
so you walk free in the hay
see the world and realise
when it's time to come home.
When you won't need to go away.
